The court aims for both parents to share the rights and responsibilities of raising their children. When determining parental responsibility and time sharing, the court considers both parents equally, regardless of the child\u2019s age or gender. Timesharing refers to the number of overnights a child spends with each parent and is detailed in a Parenting Plan. This plan outlines the schedule for overnights, including holidays, school breaks, summer vacations, and regular weekday and weekend stays. If parents can cooperate, the Parenting Plan can be flexible; otherwise, it can be very detailed to address specific days each parent has the child. If parents cannot agree on a Parenting Plan, the court will use the \u201cbest-interests-of-the-child standard\u201d to decide on the plan.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Time Sharing and parental responsibility are separate issues in EZ Florida Divorce. Parental responsibility refers to the right of each parent to make decisions about their child\u2019s medical care, education, religion, and other significant matters.
